Prof. MSc. Ana Raquel Faria
 

BA in Animal Science from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), Master in Animal Nutrition from UFRRJ, and doctoral candidate in Ecology and Natural Resources at the State University of Norte Fluminense (UENF).
Over 20 years’ experience in the field of environment, ex situ and in situ management for wildlife conservation. Prof. Ana Raquel has worked in institutions such as the Rio de Janeiro Zoo, the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (CETAS) in Rio de Janeiro, IBAMA Headquarters in Brasília, and the Brasília Zoo. She has been a professor and coordinator of graduate studies at the UPIS and FTB Colleges, and a consultant at Itaipu Binacional, IBAMA and Carioca Engineering. She is currently the Conservation Director of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums of Brazil (AZAB), a researcher associated with Project Anteaters in Brazil, and instructor of the Fauna em Foco courses.
